“This is a must-visit restaurant if you’re visiting San Francisco! It’s in the Cow Hollow area, and the concept is the chef changes the menu every day based on ingredients in season and available at local farmer’s markets. The menu is always 100% gluten-free! They have usually 1-2 dishes with tree nuts (never peanuts) like hazelnuts and almonds, but our waiter was phenomenal in giving all the ingredients in each dish, checking that their pesto was nut-free (it’s made with pumpkin seeds) and being super understanding of my questions + taking my allergies very seriously! We had 2 amazing fruit aperitifs, the Japanese sweet potato app (literally so good) and shared the pork belly and zucchini salad entrees. Everything was delicious! All their desserts are also nut-free! We finished the night with this fabulous chocolate pot de crème with homemade whipped cream. You HAVE to visit here if you’re taking a trip to San Francisco! They also have a full brunch menu!”

They have a new adapted menu because of limited dining but there were still lots of options for a gluten & nut free meal! We shared shrimp tacos and a gluten-free summer corn flatbread, which were both safe and delicious! The pesto they use is nut-free because it’s made with pumpkin seeds! Even though the menu was different, they still had symbols noting what dishes were gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan! Was so impressed with how accommodating they were and how good the food tasted!”

I didn’t have dessert as I thought they might’ve been made elsewhere, but the waitress confirmed that they’re made in house. I saw an old Facebook post about a drink having freshly ground almonds…not sure if that’s still at the bar, but just something to keep in mind! Will definitely be going back!

We were immediately greeted, and we said we are a food allergy family. ‘Great! What do we need to manage tonight?’ Wow! We gave our list, and the server knew almost everything off the top of her head, including mustard, yet asked for a few minutes because she wanted to double check and confirm the dough didn’t have sesame in it. Wow, again! As we are teaching our son how to vet places, he said…’mom, this seems like it will work!’ What a treat! He was excited to build his own pizza with garlic spread Daiya cheese, pineapple and red onions. The pepperoni would have been safe too—they use Applegate! Oh, the pesto- nut and dairy free! The server told us the cooks would use clean gloves, cooked his pizza in the wood fire oven, but on top of aluminum foil (just to be extra safe).”

It was delicious, and nut and citrus free!! My partner had halibut with a tomato avocado salad. She loved it. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. Would go here again!”

I really wanted the baked macaroni and cheese but traditionally it’s not one of their can be made gluten free dishes. However, she added all the elements to gluten free pasta on the order, and I was able to get gluten free penne with cheese, and their homemade meat sauce baked in the oven and made special for me! Such a great dining experience!”

There were only a couple tree nuts on the menu, and I was told the pesto is nut-free. They have a dedicated gluten-free fryer, as well as gluten-free pizza dough and burger buns. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about cross-contamination and answered all of my allergy questions. I loved the parmesan pesto and chicken flatbread! “We went here twice while in Paris. Both waiters spoke at least some English and were versed on allergy protocols. The kid had lasagna, and when it came, we saw what clearly looks like pesto drizzled on top. Since the kid has but allergies, we were kind of bummed the server had missed it: until he stressed that no, in Paris pesto is just oil, Parmesan and basil. I felt like that was a well handled curveball by him, and a lesser server would have just taken the dish back. On a different note, the bacon cheeseburger was truly excellent for me.”
